Jordan Corine Cruz is a Puerto Rican visual artist whose practice investigates diasporic identity, memory, and cultural endurance through sculpture and installation. Working primarily with red votive wax, she creates time-based, ephemeral objects that melt and transform during site-specific public performances. These acts of material transformation reflect survival as a political expression and a form of intergenerational resilience within Latine communities.

Cruz received her BFA in Photography and her MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been exhibited at Haul Gallery, BronxArtSpace, and PHOTOVILLE, among others. She was a 2024 BXMA AIM Fellow and served as an Artist-in-Residence at BronxArtSpace on Governors Island the same year. In 2020, she was awarded the BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) Award from the Bronx Council on the Arts. In 2019, she organized and hosted "The Culture of Community: A Latinx Photo Symposium" in collaboration with El Museo del Barrio and SVA, addressing the visual strategies of community formation across the Latinx diaspora.

Cruz is the Technical Director of the Department of Photography & Imaging at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She also serves as the Program Director and lead instructor for the Future Imagemakers Workshop, a free high school outreach program that supports youth voices through photography. Cruz lives and works in the Bronx, New York.
